Three-Year Early Delivery Offer for Eurofighter Jets to Turkey
An unnamed European country has offered Turkey Eurofighter fighter jets from its production line; if accepted, deliveries could begin three years early.
An unnamed European country has offered to provide Turkey with Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets currently on the production line. If price and conditions are agreed upon, deliveries could be brought forward by approximately three years.
A new proposal from Europe has emerged regarding Turkey's Eurofighter Typhoon procurement process. The name of the country offering to transfer the fighter jets on its production line intended for its own air force to Turkey, as well as the number of aircraft involved, has not yet been shared. It is stated that if an agreement is reached on the terms, the delivery schedule, which is projected to begin in 2030 under the current plan, could be brought forward by approximately three years.
Turkey signed a 5.4 billion pound agreement with the UK in 2025 for the purchase of 20 Eurofighter Typhoons. Meanwhile, the Turkish Air Force is also conducting talks to purchase second-hand aircraft from the inventories of Oman and Qatar during the interim period until the new jets arrive. The Ministry of National Defense had announced that Turkish pilots began flight training under the contract signed in London on March 25, 2026.
