"Time is on Your Side" Project Launched for Early Diagnosis in Breast Cancer

With the contributions of Roche İlaç Turkey, the Europa Donna Turkey-Breast Diseases Coalition Association has launched the "Time is on Your Side" project at Istanbul Palladium Shopping Mall to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer.

In the special experience area established at Istanbul Palladium Shopping Mall, visitors were enabled to witness the diagnosis and treatment journey through the eyes of a breast cancer patient. In the approximately 2.5-minute audio-visual film presented via three LED screens, the process that begins with hospital corridors and ticking clock sounds evolves into daylight and moments spent with loved ones.

Within the scope of the project, a call was made not to postpone health and to take conscious steps, while Serap Yücel, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Europa Donna Turkey, drew attention to the quality of life of women and the importance of accessing accurate information. Medical Oncology Specialist Prof. Dr. Özge Gümüşay stated that treatment success increases with early diagnosis, whereas Dr. Mahir Kurt, Medical Director of Roche İlaç Turkey, expressed that they care about scientific developments contributing to the lives of patients.
