In their away match against KuPS, Trabzonspor will have to contend not only with their opponent but also with Scandinavia's freezing weather and the disadvantage of an artificial turf pitch.

Stadium Change and Match Venue

KuPS's home ground, Vare Arena in Kuopio, did not meet UEFA's infrastructure and broadcasting criteria. Therefore, the fixture was moved to Tammelan Stadion in the city of Tampere, located 300 kilometers to the south.

Weather Conditions and Temperature Expectations

Departing from the mild climate of the Black Sea region, which ranges between 18 and 22 degrees, the Trabzonspor delegation will be greeted by freezing weather reminiscent of winter conditions. Daytime temperatures in Tampere are forecasted to reach a maximum of 10 degrees and drop to between 6 and 7 degrees by match time.

Risks Posed by the Artificial Turf Pitch

The fact that the stadium hosting the match is covered with synthetic grass is a concern for the coaching staff. It is stated that players accustomed to natural grass surfaces may experience adaptation issues on this pitch and that the risk of injury could increase.
