Transfer claims from Spain's La Liga have emerged for 33-year-old Mauro Icardi, who parted ways with Galatasaray and is currently a free agent. It is stated that Valencia and Real Betis are interested in the player.

According to information reported by TyC Sports, the Valencia club investigated Icardi's transfer terms, but the player's annual salary demand of 5 million euros caused talks to stall. The Spanish team took a step back from the transfer due to this cost.

On the other hand, according to a report by La Colina de Nervión, Real Betis head coach Manuel Pellegrini sought reinforcements for the attacking line after Cucho Hernández's injury. In the absence of Hernández, who injured his left ankle in the match against Barcelona and is expected to be away from the pitches for at least a month, it was claimed that the club included Icardi among transfer options to support Troy Parrott.
