TÜBİTAK announced that it will offer financial support of up to 175 thousand euros for projects under the new ecosystems and biodiversity-focused international call launched within the scope of Horizon Europe BiodivERsA+.

International Partnership and Call Objectives

The partnership initiative, with the participation of 81 partners from a total of 40 countries, aims to halt biodiversity loss globally and reverse the process.

Under the program, three main headings have been determined: the functioning of new ecosystems, pathways to these ecosystems, and the biodiversity benefits provided.

Application Requirements and Consortium Rules

International consortia are required to include eligible partners from at least three different countries and request support from at least three different funding organizations.

Among the required conditions is the inclusion of organizations from at least two different European Union member states or countries associated with Horizon Europe among the partners.

Participation Conditions from Turkey

Higher education institutions, research infrastructures, public institutions, and resident capital companies registered in the trade registry from Turkey will be able to apply to the call.

In addition to the international application, partners resident in Turkey are required to apply to TÜBİTAK at the national level as well.

Support Amounts and Rates

While project durations are planned to be a maximum of 36 months, the total contribution that can be requested from TÜBİTAK cannot exceed 175 thousand euros per project.

The upper limit per principal investigator has been set at 100 thousand euros for universities and public institutions, and 175 thousand euros for private organizations.

Calendar and Stages

In the process to be conducted in two stages, the deadline for submitting international project proposals for the first stage has been set as November 10.

National applications to TÜBİTAK will end on November 16, and electronic signature procedures will be completed on November 19.
