TÜRASAŞ Will Export 100 Freight Wagons from Sivas to Tanzania

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that 100 Sggmrs-type freight wagons will be produced for Tanzania at the TÜRASAŞ Sivas Regional Directorate. With this development, a second railway vehicle export will be carried out to the same country within a year.

The 100 Sggmrs-type freight wagons to be produced at the TÜRASAŞ Sivas Regional Directorate to be sent to Tanzania will have a carrying capacity of 109 tons. Designed with a length of approximately 21 meters and six axles, the wagons will allow the transport of containers of various lengths.

Recalling that DE10000-type mainline locomotives were previously exported to the same country, Minister Uraloğlu noted that with the new wagons, a second railway vehicle export will be made within one year. The wagons to be produced will be utilized in Tanzania's railway freight transport.
