Undefeated champion wheelchair basketball team targets the Super League
İzmir 9 Eylül Disabled Sports Club finished the Regional League as an undefeated champion, promoted to the 1st League, and is targeting the Super League in the new season.
Having finished the Regional League as an undefeated champion last season and promoted to the 1st League, the İzmir 9 Eylül Disabled Sports Club Wheelchair Basketball Team aims to advance to the Super League in the 2026-2027 season. Continuing its preparations with 14 athletes ranging in age from 9 to 48, the club is also preparing to host the EuroCup 4 organization to be held in İzmir from April 22-25, 2027.
The İzmir 9 Eylül Disabled Sports Club Wheelchair Basketball Team is preparing for the new season with its 14 athletes who bring together different life stories in a shared struggle. Club Board Member, Public Relations and Press Consultant Ece Aytaç expressed excitement about hosting an international organization in addition to the new season. Club President Ali Rıza Kartal and team captain Hakan Kıroğlan shared their goals for the new term, while players Ada Acar and Ömer Berik also conveyed their goals and athletic lives within the club.
