Workshop on Bioeconomy and Biotechnology Commercialization Held in Vietnam
The bioeconomy, described as the growth engine of the digital era, was discussed to connect scientific resources with the market and commercialize intellectual property.
A bioeconomy-themed workshop was held in Vietnam to strengthen the link between scientific and biotechnological resources and the market, and to overcome bottlenecks in intellectual property commercialization.
Purpose of the Workshop and Organizing Institutions
An event on the bioeconomy was organized in cooperation with the Vietnam Association for Science and Technology Information (VASTI), the Department of Information and Statistics, and One World Magazine.
This joint workshop emphasized that traditional growth models need transformation and highlighted the importance of renewable resources.
The Role of Digital Technologies
Dr. Tran Van Tung, President of the Vietnam Association for Science and Technology Information, stated that digital technologies are merging with biotechnology.
It was noted that tools such as artificial intelligence, big data, and blockchain accelerate research and support the emergence of the digital biology field.
Bridging the Gap and Cooperation
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department and former Minister of Science and Technology, delivered a speech.
It was conveyed that the gap between the laboratory and production must be bridged, businesses must play an active role in innovation, and investor cooperation must be strengthened.
