Yildirim Municipality Winter Sports Schools Started Training in 16 Branches

In Bursa, following the Summer Sports Schools, Yildirim Municipality has also launched Winter Sports Schools to help children make good use of their out-of-school time and enhance their athletic skills. Children in the 4-17 age group are receiving training under the auspices of the Yildirim Municipality Sports Club in 16 different branches accompanied by coaches.

The Winter Sports Schools implemented under the Yildirim Municipality Sports Club offer training opportunities in 16 different branches for children aged 4-17. Children participating in the courses find the opportunity to support both their mental and physical development accompanied by experienced sports trainers. While it was reported that more than 36,000 children met with sports in the previously organized Summer Sports Schools, thousands of children are targeted to do sports in different branches in the Winter Sports Schools as well.

Yildirim Mayor Oktay Yılmaz drew attention to the importance of sports in the physical and mental development of children, stating that they aim to spread sports to the grassroots. Mayor Yılmaz expressed that thanks to the sports schools, children acquire healthy living habits and at the same time learn values such as discipline, self-confidence, team spirit, perseverance, and struggle, noting that they offer children and young people the opportunity to do sports for 12 months.
