Youth and Sports Minister Bak Attended Center Opening in Antalya

Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak and Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy attended the opening ceremony of the completed Ormana Culture Center in Antalya's İbradı district, as well as the İbradı Ali Haydar Ersoy Youth Center, which was built by the Ersoy family and donated to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak stated that there are 650 youth centers across Turkey, visited by over 10 million young people, and that they aim to keep the youth away from bad habits. Noting that nearly 5,000 new dormitory capacities have been added for university students in Antalya over the past 3.5 years, Minister Bak stated that they have reached a student accommodation capacity of 1 million nationwide.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy noted that young people living in İbradı previously had to travel to the Manavgat Youth Center, which is about 80 kilometers away, and that this project eliminates that difficulty for the youth. The Ormana Culture Center, whose construction began in 2025, opened its doors with a 500-seat multi-purpose hall, a large foyer area, a 231-square-meter district public library, and a cafeteria. Built using natural stones in accordance with local architecture, the culture center is located within walking distance of schools.

The opening ceremony was attended by Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, AK Party Antalya Deputy İbrahim Ethem Taş, AK Party Antalya Provincial Chairman Ali Çetin, İbradı Mayor Hatice Sekmen, and local residents.
