In an official statement made by the Bulgarian Border Police, it was stated that the 18-kilometer truck queue formed at the border gate resulted from the commercial activity that has shown an increase in recent days.
Daily Capacity and Transactions
The statement noted that within the last 24-hour period, processing was completed for 710 freight vehicles heading towards Turkey, and this figure corresponds to the border gate's full daily capacity.
Security and Traffic Measures
It was stated that necessary arrangements have been implemented to prevent potential traffic accidents in the region, and teams affiliated with the Haskovo Provincial Directorate of Security are on duty in the field.
