Major League Baseball officials contacted the Trump administration to inquire whether a game could be held in a national park.
According to two sources, the administration searched for a suitable area within Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming for this event.
White House Statement
In a statement issued by the White House, it was emphasized that this matter was not a presidential directive or an administration priority.
It was stated that the initiative was not directed by the White House or the Department of the Interior and did not rank among the administration's priorities.
Yosemite and Land Use
It is known that the Trump administration has previously taken steps regarding the private use of national park lands.
According to a document submitted to Congress, the possibility of exchanging a portion of Yosemite National Park with a private company had also been raised.
