714 Fugitives Brought Back to Turkey via Cross-Border Trap Operations
As a result of the work coordinated by the Ministries of Interior, Justice, and Foreign Affairs, the wanted suspects were referred to the judicial authorities.
Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi announced that 714 fugitives wanted from 44 countries have been brought back to Turkey and handed over to judicial authorities through "Cross-Border Trap" operations organized since the beginning of the year.
Coordination of the Operations
Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi shared the balance sheet of the Cross-Border Trap operations carried out since the beginning of the year with the public.
Crime Distribution and Numbers
It was stated that out of the total 714 individuals brought to Turkey, 332 were wanted for public order offenses, 271 for smuggling and organized crime, 99 for narcotics, and 12 for terrorism-related crimes.
Organized Crime Leaders
It was officially announced that among the total 714 fugitives brought back were 170 organized crime leaders and members of criminal organizations.

It was stated that these successful operations were conducted with the full coordination of the Ministries of Interior, Justice, and Foreign Affairs.
Message from Minister Çiftçi
In a post on his social media account, Minister Çiftçi emphasized that the state never forgets any criminal and will apprehend them in due time.
Extraditions Will Continue
It was noted that similar operations will continue with determination for individuals who think they can escape justice by fleeing abroad.
