Facing Spain's Barcelona away in the first week of the Euroleague, our representative Anadolu Efes could not maintain its early dominance in the match and left the court with an 89-82 defeat.
Effective Start to the Match
Starting the match quite eagerly and quickly, our dark blue-and-white representative captured a 14-point lead by the 5th minute of the contest, bringing the score to 20-6. Maintaining this dominance, Anadolu Efes finished the first period ahead at 25-16.
Barcelona's Comeback
Recovering by establishing balance in the game during the second quarter, the home team Barcelona partnered in the match with Dario Brizuela's high-scoring play and managed to enter the locker room with a 45-44 advantage.
Competitive Third Period
Witnessing a very balanced contest in the third period, Anadolu Efes produced effective scoring with Dario Saric, and the dark blue-and-white team managed to enter the final stretch leading 67-63.
