Pre-High School Artificial Intelligence Ban
In New York City public schools, students are being banned from using artificial intelligence technologies until they begin their high school education. With this comprehensive decision, approximately two-thirds of students will be deprived of artificial intelligence tools until their high school years.
Among the details of the regulation in question are limitations to be placed on students' screen time.
New Restrictions for Teachers
The new rules directly affect not only students but educators as well. Teachers will not be able to use artificial intelligence tools to evaluate student assignments and give grades.

When the Department of Education was developing its official artificial intelligence policy in May, many parents had expressed concerns about the use of this technology in schools.
