California State University Launches Artificial Intelligence Survey

California State University has initiated a comprehensive survey process to gather opinions from students, faculty, and staff within SFSU regarding generative artificial intelligence.

Scope and Objectives of the Survey

The survey study initiated by California State University aims to understand how the university community uses artificial intelligence, what it thinks about the technology, and where it needs support.

Participation in the survey does not require being an artificial intelligence expert or a daily user; opinions from the entire community, including those who have never used artificial intelligence, are being collected.

Participation Conditions and Rewards

While completing the fully anonymous survey takes less than 10 minutes, participants can also choose to enter a raffle where they can win a gift card or an iPad.

Students, faculty, and staff at the SFSU campus can participate in the survey studies until Monday, October 19.

Trends from Previous Years

More than 94,000 people across the CSU system participated in last year's survey, during which important concerns such as accuracy, academic integrity, ethics, job security, and training needs were voiced.

This year's responses will help understand changing attitudes alongside the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence in higher education and business life.

Upcoming Artificial Intelligence Events

In addition to these efforts carried out within the university, various events are also planned for students to test new artificial intelligence tools.

The SF Hacks x GDG AI Hackathon event, where students will develop projects, will take place on Friday, October 2 at SFSU.
