Artificial Intelligence and Property Rights
The inaugural annual Law and Society Symposium, organized by the Clemson University College of Arts and Humanities, will be held between September 22 and 24, 2026.
Core Focus Areas of the Symposium
While the main theme of the event focuses on the ownership of creative works in the age of artificial intelligence, property rights, copyright law, the applications of artificial intelligence technologies, and their impacts on labor and intellectual development will be discussed.
Participation and Supporters
Supported by Loebsack and Brownlee PLLC and the Humanities Hub, the symposium will be free and open to Clemson students, faculty, staff, and the public, with attendees encouraged to register.
Speakers and Program
At the event, Matthew Sag from Emory University School of Law will deliver the keynote address, Jeremy Sheff from St. John's University School of Law will speak, and artificial intelligence policy expert Micaela Mantegna will give a virtual presentation.
