Dictionary.com has announced the addition of nearly 6,000 new words and phrases to its language database, encompassing trends from artificial intelligence, social media slang, health, climate debates, and global cuisine.

Newly Added Words

With its latest update, Dictionary.com has incorporated approximately 5,900 new words while updating more than 1,200 existing entries. The focus was placed on internet culture, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and global food trends.

Internet and Digital Culture

Among the most recognizable additions is the term 'goated', used to describe people or situations seen as the greatest. The impacts of digital culture, such as 'engagement bait' and 'face reveal', were also included in the list.

Artificial Intelligence Terms

With AI technologies entering daily life, concepts such as 'context window', 'model collapse', and 'overprompt' have also taken their place in the dictionary.

Health and Environment-Focused Developments

Alongside psychological concepts like 'love bomb' and 'trauma bond', climate and urban planning terms such as 'agrivoltaics' and 'sponge city' were also added to the dictionary.
