Google Launches Fairwind Program for Critical Infrastructure and Institutions

Google has announced the Fairwind Program, which enables government agencies and critical infrastructure partners to autonomously detect and remediate security vulnerabilities using AI-powered cyber defense capabilities.

Google has introduced the limited-access Fairwind Program to enable governments and trusted partners to utilize the most advanced cyber defense capabilities. This program aims to help trusted Google Cloud customers address cyber risks at a scalable level.

Autonomous Vulnerability Discovery and Remediation

The Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber and CodeMender tools provided under the program offer defenders the ability to autonomously find, verify, and fix security vulnerabilities. This makes it possible to generate verified patches in minutes instead of relying on manual processes.

Priority Target Audience and Partners

The Fairwind Program targets national cyber authorities, critical infrastructure operators, and foundational technology platforms. More than 650 participating partners globally are using this system to protect public sector networks and essential services.

Global Cyber Resilience and Funding

Global cybersecurity funding provided through Google.org has exceeded $100 million, while the 2026 U.S. Cybersecurity Impact Report also highlights the support extended to hospitals and schools.
