OpenAI and Grab have launched a joint program to enable thousands of drivers, delivery personnel, and business partners in Southeast Asia to use artificial intelligence in their daily work.
Purpose and Scope of the Program
OpenAI and Grab have launched the GO Forward with AI program to enable 30,000 people in Southeast Asia to acquire practical artificial intelligence skills. This initiative aims to support partners in the region over the next two years.
Rollout Schedule by Country
The training program first launched in Singapore and will expand to Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines later in the year. It will then be implemented in Malaysia and Vietnam in 2027.
AI Tendency of Business Partners
According to a survey of Grab drivers in Singapore, half of the participants stated that they already use artificial intelligence tools. Among those who do not, 87 percent expressed openness to trying this technology.
Practical Exercises and Workshops
Participants will experience tasks such as converting sales data into dashboards and building websites during half-day, in-person workshops. The program is adapted to local needs based on the OpenAI Academy curriculum.
