Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Truong stated that the university aims to transform into an innovation center by combining its traditional areas of expertise with modern technologies.
The university aims to integrate fields such as geology, mining, petroleum, and gas with artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and renewable energy.
Sustainable Model and Future Plans
The decisive role of human resources in the transition of Vietnam's mining industry to a smart, green, and sustainable model was particularly emphasized at the forum.
The university plans to become an interdisciplinary research university by 2030 and establish innovation centers in different regions.
