Anthropic Chief Executive Officer Dario Amodei stated that if mismanaged, artificial intelligence could pose a risk to all of humanity. OpenAI Executive Sam Altman warned that humanity could lose control over the future of artificial intelligence.

Industry leaders stated that decisions cannot be left solely to the monopoly of laboratories in San Francisco, calling world leaders to action. Representatives of France and the United Kingdom also supported these concerns.
