Introducing Anthropic models on Amazon Bedrock for in-region inference in Seoul and Singapore | Amazon Web Services

The Amazon Bedrock platform has begun enabling local inference with Anthropic Claude models in the Seoul and Singapore regions for users with local data processing obligations.

Local Inference and Data Residency

Amazon Bedrock has introduced in-region inference support in Seoul and Singapore to meet strict data residency requirements for artificial intelligence applications. Thanks to this innovation, data is processed without leaving the selected geographic region.

Supported Models and Regions

Within the scope of the integration, Claude Opus 5 and Claude Sonnet 5 models are supported in the Seoul region, while the Claude Sonnet 5 model has been made accessible for local inference in the Singapore region. These models can be used in sectors such as finance, healthcare, and public services.

Usage and API Options

Users can access these models via the Amazon Bedrock console through the bedrock-runtime endpoint or by using code with the Converse API, InvokeModel API, and Anthropic Messages API.
