Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Aksu Fatma-Şevket Yüksel Family Health Center in Antalya
A groundbreaking ceremony has been held for the new family health center to be built in Aksu with philanthropic contributions, and the health services it will offer to the local community were announced.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Aksu Fatma-Şevket Yüksel Family Health Center, to be built in Cihadiye Neighborhood with the contributions of philanthropic businessman Mehmet Yüksel in Antalya's Aksu district, was held with an official ceremony.
Physical Characteristics and Capacity of the Center
The Aksu Fatma-Şevket Yüksel Family Health Center will be built on a 420-square-meter plot as a 3-story building consisting of a ground floor and two upper floors. The building is planned to have a height of 11 meters and a total indoor area of 504 square meters.
While the center is planned to provide services with a capacity of 9 physicians, it will include 9 examination rooms, 2 medical intervention rooms, and various specialized units.
Health Services to be Offered to the Region
The new family health center aims to provide primary health care services to the entire local population, particularly in the Cihadiye and Pınarlı neighborhoods.
Protocol members speaking at the ceremony emphasized the importance of delivering health services to citizens in a fast and efficient manner.

AK Party Antalya Deputy Mustafa Köse stated that health investments in Antalya continue and mentioned that the Aksu State Hospital is also planned to be put into service within a few months.
Kepez District Governor Suat Dervişoğlu also expressed that primary health care services are critical in establishing a strong bond between citizens and doctors.
Municipal Works and New Projects
Aksu Mayor İsa Yıldırım stated that they are carrying out works to meet the needs regarding health services in the district and that they have prepared a new health clinic project in Çalkaya Neighborhood.
It was stated that the facility to be built in Çalkaya Neighborhood will be Aksu's largest health clinic with an early cancer diagnosis center, a 112 emergency service, and a physiotherapy department.
Province-Wide Health Data
Antalya Provincial Health Director Prof. Dr. Behzat Özkan reported that the population registered to family medicine in the city is approximately 2 million 770 thousand, and services are provided through 283 family health centers.
It was stated that with the new center starting operations, the population per family physician in the district is expected to drop to levels between 2,300 and 2,400.
