China Strongly Responds to Anthropic Executive's Remarks on Artificial Intelligence

The Chinese Foreign Ministry reacted to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei's call for the U.S. to restrict China's artificial intelligence capacity, stating that spreading fear and competition would disrupt global governance.
Statement from Beijing
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun evaluated the issue during Monday's press conference.
Emphasizing that spreading fear and vicious competition benefit no one, the official stated that all parties must work together.
Anthropic Executive's Warnings
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei claimed in a lengthy published article that China taking the lead in artificial intelligence could pose a danger to the U.S. and the world.
Amodei argued that restrictions on chip sales should continue in order for the U.S. to maintain its leadership.

U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping are expected to meet at a scheduled gathering on September 24.
