With the increase in global competition in artificial intelligence technologies, Israel is implementing a comprehensive strategic roadmap to maintain its leadership in economic, scientific, and national security fields.

Strategic Position and National Security

Artificial intelligence has become a central infrastructure today for economics, science, industry, and national security fields. Maintaining leadership in this technology is considered a vital and strategic issue for Israel.

National Artificial Intelligence Directorate

In line with the recommendations of the committee established by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the National Artificial Intelligence Directorate has been instituted within the Prime Minister's Office. This new structure is managed by retired Brigadier General Erez Askal.

Human Resources and Education

Early-age education investments are planned for human capital, which is one of the most important pillars of the strategy. In addition, the number of researchers is being increased, and the return of experts to the country is encouraged.

Computing Infrastructure and Supercomputer

It is aimed to establish national computing power in order to support academia and startups. Within this scope, a supercomputer with at least 60,000 next-generation graphics processing units is planned.

Energy and Data Centers

The energy, cooling, and grid connection requirements necessary for large-scale server farms are handled meticulously. The sustainability of the infrastructure is seen as critical for national independence.
