The meeting was attended by Jensen Huang from Nvidia, leaders from OpenAI and Anthropic, Kanishka Narayan, the UK's new AI minister, and the head of the UK's foreign intelligence service.
Additionally, Paolo Benanti, who advises the Pope on artificial intelligence, was among the participants.
King Charles's Warnings on Artificial Intelligence
Stating that artificial intelligence technology must be brought under control before it is too late, King Charles described the rapid development of the technology as both fascinating and deeply concerning.
Drawing attention to AI's capacity to save and improve lives, the King stated that even its creators have warned about darker capabilities and existential dangers.
Call for International Cooperation and Consensus
At the meeting, which was also attended by OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar and Anthropic global affairs representative Tino Cuéllar, King Charles called for international cooperation and consensus to promote the positive aspects.
