Nscale seeks $3.5 billion in pre-IPO financing
UK-based AI infrastructure provider Nscale is in talks for a total of $3.5 billion in funding as it prepares for a potential public listing this month.
UK-based AI infrastructure company Nscale is in talks to secure $3.5 billion in new funding ahead of a potential IPO that could take place this month, consisting of $1.5 billion in convertible notes and $2 billion from Nvidia.
IPO and Financing Plan
Founded two years ago, British AI infrastructure company Nscale stated it is evaluating going public later this month. Ahead of the planned IPO process, the company is engaging in intensive funding talks with investors.
Investment Details and Nvidia Partnership
According to Bloomberg, the company aims to sell $1.5 billion worth of convertible notes to a group of investors. In addition to this package, negotiations are ongoing to secure $2 billion in financing support from Nvidia. Nvidia previously participated in an $1.1 billion Series B investment round in March led by the Aker investment fund. The company is known to have raised $155 million in its Series A round in December 2024.
Sector Growth and Anthropic Deal
The surge in demand during the AI era has driven the rapid growth of infrastructure startups, placing computing power at the center of competition. In this context, Nscale signed a massive deal valued at approximately $45 billion with Anthropic. Reports emerging earlier in the week indicated that the company told potential investors it has approximately $103 billion in revenue following this deal. However, it was emphasized that this figure represents projections based on signed customer contracts rather than current sales.
