AI Solution Tailored for the Legal Sector
OpenAI announced that it has created a new AI foundation designed for law firms and legal technology companies to develop workflows and products.
Called Astra for Law, this new system combines the company's GPT-6 Astra model with tools and context tailored for legal professional work.
Increased Accuracy in Legal Research
The new system comes with 26 new ecosystem plugins that connect ChatGPT with specialized tools used by law firms.
According to evaluations, Astra for Law produces higher accuracy and more comprehensive results in research compared to standard web searches.
Trusted Access and Planned API Integration
OpenAI will initially offer this new product to selected law firms through the Trusted Access program within ChatGPT and Codex.
It is stated that the company plans to add this new legal technology to its API system in the future.
New Testing Tool for AI Models
Alibaba.com released a testing tool called CommerceAgentBench to evaluate how well AI models can manage real online business tasks.
Shared via GitHub, this public benchmark toolset aims to measure the performance of different model families in realistic scenarios.
Performance Limits Encountered in Complex Tasks
In the study where thirteen AI model families were tested on 107 real merchant tasks, the most successful model completed 61.7 percent of the tasks.
The tests revealed that AI agents face performance limitations in complex tasks requiring multi-step information retention.
