Marquette University Opens Artificial Intelligence Discovery Hub
Marquette University is preparing to open its new center focused on ethical artificial intelligence and machine learning in Haggerty Hall.
The new AI-focused learning and research space, organized by the Marquette University Opus College of Engineering, is opening its doors to provide students and staff with hands-on experiences.
Opening Date and Purpose of the Center
The AI Discovery Hub will begin welcoming visitors and hosting events on Monday, September 28. This new space aims to bring human curiosity and problem-solving ability together with artificial intelligence.
Specialized Workstations and Projects
Four dedicated stations created by faculty experts and students are designed to carry out projects addressing industrial and societal needs. These areas will be updated over time based on new areas of interest.
Research on Healthcare, Vision, and Language Models
The stations will conduct in-depth studies on critical topics such as computer vision, spectral imaging, large language model bias, and the analysis of complex healthcare datasets.
Visiting Hours and Supporting Institution
Guided tours and monthly training sessions will be held every weekday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM throughout the academic year. The center was brought to life with contributions from the GHR Foundation.
