The United States National Science Foundation has taken a significant step as scientific discoveries increasingly rely on artificial intelligence resources.
In this context, a five-year, $35 million award was granted to the partnership between the San Diego Supercomputer Center and the Texas Advanced Computing Center.
Leadership and Collaboration of the Center
The San Diego Supercomputer Center will lead the project within the UC San Diego Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute and Computing School.
The project will be carried out in close collaboration with the Texas Advanced Computing Center at the University of Texas at Austin.
Transformation of the National Research Resource
Thanks to this newly established operations center, the National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource will transition from a pilot phase to a permanent national capability.
Thus, researchers and students across the country will be provided with access to advanced computing, data, and software tools.
