Nous Research, a three-year-old startup developing open-source AI agents, has brought its valuation to $1.5 billion with a $90 million Series B funding round led by Robot Ventures.

Details of the Funding Round

Major investors such as Nvidia, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung, and 1789 Capital—backed by Donald Trump Jr.—participated in the Series B financing round led by Robot Ventures.

With this new capital injection, the three-year-old startup's total funding to date has reached $158 million.

Hermes Agent and Global Usage

The startup's open-source Hermes Agent product, which is highly popular among developers and individual users, has been forked more than 24 million times worldwide.

Estimates suggest that this heavy usage single-handedly accounts for approximately 2.5% of global AI token consumption.

Stepping into the Enterprise Market

The newly secured funding will be used to launch the company's Hermes for Businesses initiative prepared for the enterprise sector.

Thanks to this new solution, companies will be able to integrate customized AI agents capable of managing multi-step business processes into their systems while keeping their data private and secure.

Revenue Targets and Growth

Generating an annual revenue of approximately $36 million as of mid-September, Nous Research aims to push this figure above $100 million by the end of 2026.
