Nvidia's AI Tool Combines All Graphics Cards in the Home
Nvidia has introduced the PAIR tool, which combines idle graphics cards on the home network to solve local artificial intelligence tasks in a distributed manner.
At the IFA 2026 exhibition, Nvidia unveiled Personal AI Router (PAIR), a new local distributed AI clustering tool that pools together idle GPU power across the home network.
Local Clustering for Artificial Intelligence
Developed by Nvidia, the Personal AI Router tool distributes agent-based AI subtasks from the main computer to other compatible systems on the home network. This system aims to reduce cloud token costs and keep operations private on the local network.
Flexible and Dynamic Task Distribution
When a central AI agent creates multiple subtasks, PAIR assigns one of these tasks to each participating system. The system adapts flexibly if other users reclaim their graphics cards for gaming or creative work.
Broad Hardware Support
The PAIR software can run on DGX Spark or other GB10 boxes, GeForce RTX 20 series and higher graphics cards, and Mac devices featuring M4 series processors. Meanwhile, the client version supports Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
