The results of the 3rd Health Literacy Survey, conducted in partnership with Siemens Healthineers Turkey and FutureBright Group, have been announced. Examining society's general health perception and habits, the study revealed that the majority of individuals neglect routine check-ups.

Profile and Scope of the Research

Face-to-face interviews were conducted between April and May 2026 with 600 participants aged between 18 and 65 across Turkey.

Health Perception and Lifestyle

According to the data obtained, the proportion of those who define themselves as healthy rose to 76 percent.

On the other hand, the rate of those who never exercise rose to 39 percent, cigarette use maintained its high course at 46.5 percent, and chronic disease ownership reached 23 percent.

Doctor Visiting Habits

While 52.7 percent of the participants stated that they go for a health check only when a complaint arises, the rate of those who have regular check-ups was recorded at 35 percent.

Artificial Intelligence and Health Preferences

While 40 percent of participants stated that they had their lab results interpreted by artificial intelligence, the public's most important expectations in choosing a healthcare institution were physician experience and accurate diagnosis.
