The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Expert Forum on Artificial Intelligence convened in Astana as part of the AI & Digital Bridge 2026 International Forum.
Within the framework of the international forum held in Astana with the participation of more than a hundred countries, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Expert Forum on Artificial Intelligence was organized, and cooperation opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence were discussed.
Launch of the International Forum
The AI & Digital Bridge 2026 International Forum brought together government agencies, experts, and technology industry representatives in Astana from October 1 to 3, 2026.
Opening Speech by the President of Kazakhstan
Opening the event, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of the responsible and secure development of new technologies and international information sharing.
SCO Expert Forum on Artificial Intelligence Session
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Expert Forum on Artificial Intelligence was held with the participation of member states under the theme of national priorities and artificial intelligence development strategies.
Future Plans and Previous Proposals
This forum was organized in line with the proposals presented by the President of Kazakhstan at the 2025 Tianjin Summit, and a high-level conference is planned for 2027.
