SpaceX Will Be the World's Most Valuable Company, According to Elon Musk

Having lost more than a trillion dollars in market value and facing major financial volatility since its early June initial public offering, CEO Elon Musk predicts that SpaceX will become the world's most valuable business in the future.

IPO and Market Value Fluctuations

Prior to its historic initial public offering on Nasdaq in early June, Space Exploration Technologies incorporated xAI and integrated rockets, Starlink, X, and the Grok generative AI model.

Opening at $150 per share, the company initially boasted a market capitalization of $2.1 trillion, but as shares fell through the end of July, more than $1 trillion in market value was wiped out.

Financial Reports and Revenue Breakdown

According to financial reports, SpaceX generated a total of $18.7 billion in revenue in 2025 while reporting a $4.9 billion loss, during which Starlink was the only profitable segment.

In the first quarter of 2026, a net loss of $4.3 billion was recorded against $4.7 billion in revenue, while in the second quarter, revenues increased by 92 percent year-over-year to reach $7.8 billion and net losses narrowed to $541 million.

Future Goals and Analyst Expectations

CEO Elon Musk stated that if the targets are met, the company will become more valuable than anything else in the world.

Analysts emphasize that to achieve this valuation, Starship must be made reliable and inexpensive, Starlink must scale, and artificial intelligence capacity must be converted into profitable contractual revenue.
