Statement on the 2027-2029 Medium-Term Program by Health Minister Memişoğlu

Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced in a post on his social media account that, within the framework of the 2027-2029 Medium-Term Program targets, preventive health services will be strengthened and domestic production capabilities will be increased.

Vision of the Healthy Century of Turkey

Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu made important evaluations regarding the vision of the Healthy Century of Turkey pursued under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan via his social media account.

It was announced that within the framework of the newly unveiled 2027-2029 Medium-Term Program, a healthcare approach that protects, develops, and produces will be placed at the center.

Preventive Services and Domestic Production

It was conveyed that primary care and preventive health services will be prioritized and strengthened in future period planning, and that home health and palliative care services will be developed in an integrated structure.

It was emphasized that the education and research capacities of university hospitals will be increased, and that domestic production capabilities in vaccines, medicine, medical devices, and artificial intelligence technologies will be expanded.

Financial Sustainability

It was stated that financial sustainability will be consolidated by transitioning to value-based reimbursement models in the healthcare system, and that Turkey's international position in health tourism will be advanced further.

Stating that they base their approach on citizens' access to the most qualified healthcare services, Minister Memişoğlu thanked those who contributed to the preparation of the program and wished the MTP to be auspicious.
