White House Announces AI-Powered Website for Federal Services
With decrees issued by the White House, a new platform to facilitate access to public services is being launched, and a different term will be used in official correspondence.
The White House announced the publication of two new decrees in the field of artificial intelligence, stating that a new website providing single-point access to federal services will be established and official terminology will be revised.
New Website and Scope
It was announced that a new AI-powered website named America.gov will be established to facilitate access to federal government information and services.
According to the published factsheet, this platform aims to eliminate the necessity for citizens to visit multiple different agency websites.
Management and Implementation Principles
The relevant decree assigns the Administrator of General Services and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget the task of establishing and operating the America.gov platform.
The system will function as a single entry point for public-facing federal services that serve more than 100,000 users per year and are accessible online.
Official Terminology Change
With the second decree, it was decided to rebrand the concept of artificial intelligence in official correspondence and documents.
From now on, the administration will use the terms "super intelligence" and "SI" instead of "artificial intelligence" or "AI" in official communications and documents.
