Education Ranging from Psychology to Digital Media
Following her major in psychology and minor in digital media which formed the foundation of her career, Yijing Tabitha Han completed her Master's degree in Digital Media Communication at the University of Washington. This academic foundation played a key role in her adoption of a human-centric design approach.
Enterprise Design Work at PitchBook Data
Serving as a product designer for over six years at PitchBook Data, a Morningstar company, Han served as the sole designer on PitchBook Mobile and enterprise authorization projects. She redesigned the mobile product for senior leaders in the private equity and investment sectors, driving growth in daily engagement.
Artificial Intelligence and Data Collection Tools
Han led the design of PitchBook's first AI-powered data collection tool and Market Maps. In these AI-driven efforts, she focused on transparency and control elements by balancing machine inference with human judgment.
Independent Projects and Intercultural Communication
In addition to her corporate work, Han has undertaken independent projects, developing Sotto, a multi-modal AI companion that supports non-native English speakers with intercultural communication in the workplace. She has also worked on wearable and ambient computing projects such as Home Signal Tray and SOMA.
