Capital markets investigation initiated into social media accounts
Judicial authorities have taken action due to misleading posts targeting investor decisions and market values.
The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into social media accounts attempting to influence the prices of capital market instruments and investor decisions.
Grounds for the Investigation
In accordance with the decision made by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that steps were taken to influence the prices and values of capital market instruments.
It was determined that false, incorrect, and misleading information and content were shared via the social media accounts in question, and an examination was launched.
Activities to be Conducted
Within the scope of the initiated investigation, it is aimed to identify the individuals in the position of suspects and to collect the evidence completely.
In line with the instructions obtained, the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams are continuing their investigations regarding the subject.
