Counter-Terrorism and Regional Developments Evaluated Following National Security Council Meeting

Following the National Security Council meeting held at the Presidential Complex, the published declaration shared the ongoing activities against terrorist organizations and approaches regarding regional security issues.
Determination in Counter-Terrorism
The declaration was published following the NSC meeting held at the Presidential Complex under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During the meeting, activities carried out against threats to national unity and solidarity, primarily PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG, FETÖ and ISIS, were addressed.
Terrorism-Free Turkey and Region Goal
The declaration stated that the steps taken and the distance covered toward the goals of a terrorism-free Turkey and a terrorism-free region were evaluated, and efforts exerted for the peace and prosperity of neighbors will be continued with determination.
Developments in Syria and Iraq
While positive developments in the reinforcement of Syria's unity and integrity and the extension of state authority throughout the country were discussed, the critical importance of Iraq's peace and stability was emphasized and the will for strategic cooperation was reaffirmed.
International Peace and Calls
Touching upon the situation between the US, Israel and Iran, calls were made to return to negotiations, while calls for restraint and ceasefires regarding the conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine and Yemen were issued.
