Trade Minister Ömer Bolat came together with Polish Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domanski within the framework of the G20 Trade Ministers Meeting held in the USA to discuss bilateral relations.

Bilateral Contact within the Scope of G20

Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced in a social media post that he held a comprehensive meeting with Polish Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domanski within the scope of the G20 Trade Ministers Meeting held in Milwaukee, USA.

Economic and Sectoral Cooperation

During the meeting, the current state of commercial relations between the two countries was addressed, and opportunities for joint cooperation in contracting services, investments, energy, transportation, logistics, the defense industry, and third countries were evaluated in detail.

New Term Meetings

The ministers reached a consensus that the sixth-term meeting of the Turkey-Poland Consultation Mechanism and the Turkey-Poland Investment and Business Forum will be convened in the near future under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade.

Turkey-EU Relations and Customs Union

This meeting with the Polish counterpart also constituted an important basis for addressing Turkey-European Union relations, while the importance of improving the functioning of the Customs Union was emphasized.

Trade Volume Targets

It was stated that the bilateral trade volume broke a record by reaching 12.5 billion dollars in 2025, and confidence was expressed that this figure would be raised to the 15 billion dollar target set by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
