10th New York Kurdish Film Festival Kicks Off in the US
Bringing Kurdish cinema to American audiences for a six-day run, the festival opened its doors in New York from September 29 to October 4.

Beginning and Purpose of the Festival
The 10th-anniversary events of the New York Kurdish Film Festival, with Rudaw Media Group undertaking the media sponsorship, have started in New York.
Organized since 2017, this event promotes cinema by bringing together directors and productions from all four parts of Kurdistan.
Culture and Life-Oriented Productions
Co-director Aram Hasan stated in a published statement that the 10th anniversary holds a very special meaning for them.
Hasan noted that they do not want to focus solely on war and tragedies, but also aim to tell the world about the culture, art, and social life of the Kurds.
Rich Event Program
Within the scope of the six-day festival, productions featuring different cultural values such as the Yarsan community, music, tambour, and traditional clothing are included.
Throughout the event, alongside film screenings, panels, workshops, and book presentations are also brought together with participants.
