The Promotion Launch of the 2026-2027 Culture and Art Season of the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres and Symphony Orchestra took place at the Haldun Dormen Stage in the Haller Youth Center.

Launch and High Interest

The launch, held with the participation of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce, introduced the events awaiting audiences in the new season.

Mayor Ünlüce stated that tickets selling out in a short time after opening for digital sales clearly demonstrates the intense interest in art.

Deep-Rooted Art Tradition

It was emphasized that the City Theatres and the Symphony Orchestra have made very important contributions to the city's culture and art life for over 25 years.

It was noted that since 2001, the City Theatres have staged 162 different plays, performed 6,255 shows, and reached 1,730,000 spectators.

New Theatre Season

General Artistic Director Hakkı Kuş shared the new season's theatre repertoire and projects with members of the press and artists.

Kuş stated that the theme of rights, law, and justice has been prominent in play selections for the last two seasons, and announced the remarkable productions of the new season.

New Productions and Stage Names

Productions meeting the audience in the new season include The Unproductives, No Talking About the Dark, Our Songs to the Wind, and Olive Shade.

Additionally, it was announced that the stage at Sultandere has been named after Müjdat Gezen, and the stage at the Haller Youth Center has been named after Haldun Dormen.

Symphony Orchestra Program

Symphony Orchestra Deputy Concertmaster Suat Canan Dalgaç announced one of the main themes of the orchestra's 2026-2027 season.

It was stated that Beethoven will be commemorated on the 200th anniversary of his death during the season, and four symphonies and four concertos will be performed.
