2026-2027 Culture and Arts Season Begins in Çankaya
The Çankaya Municipality offers a rich calendar ranging from exhibitions and theater to film screenings and children's plays in the new culture and arts season.
The Çankaya Municipality is opening the 2026-2027 culture and arts season in September with a rich event calendar at the Atatürk Art Center, Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center, Yaşar Kemal Cultural Center, and Yılmaz Güney Stage.
New Season Exhibitions and Dates
One of the striking exhibitions of the new season will be 'Building a City: Ankara 1923-1933'. Prepared with the sponsorship of the Vehbi Koç Foundation and the support of Koç University VEKAM, the exhibition can be visited at the Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center between September 18 and December 31, 2026.
Cinema and Film Screenings
Cinema screenings are also included in the Çankaya Municipality's new season program. Within the scope of 'Brazilian Cinema Evenings', the films 'Oeste Outra Vez' and 'Same Old West' will meet audiences on September 15, 2026.
Theater Plays Schedule
The new season's theater program features numerous plays of various genres. 'Kirli Sepeti' will be staged on September 6 at the Atatürk Art Center Red Hall, and 'Hisseli Harikalar Kumpanyası' on September 18 at the Yaşar Kemal Cultural Center.
Special Events for Children
Not forgetting children in the new season, the Çankaya Municipality has prepared an extensive program. The 'Children's Songs Concert' will take place on September 5 at the Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center Sabahattin Ali Conference Hall.
