21st International Labor Films Festival Kicks Off in Antalya

The Antalya program of the 21st International Labor Films Festival was announced at a press conference held at Baküs Culture and Arts. The festival will take place between September 26 and October 4.

Festival Program and Opening Night

The opening night of the Antalya leg of the 21st International Labor Films Festival will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 20:00 at the Konyaaltı Nazım Hikmet Fair and Congress Center.

On the opening night, the Baküs Stage team will perform a short play, and films from various countries will be screened.

Film Screenings and Selection Details

Out of a selection of 73 films formed from submissions from different countries around the world, 53 films will be screened in Antalya.

The selection will feature productions focusing on women's labor and struggle, alongside films by Pelin Esmer and a Ken Loach documentary.

Panels and Interviews

Within the scope of the festival, a panel addressing the working-class movement and interviews on various topics will be organized.

Following the screening of a documentary about the late environmental activist Hakan Tosun, an interview titled "What to Do Against the Plunder of Nature" will be held.

Closing and Open-Air Screenings

On the last day of the festival, Sunday, October 4, open-air screenings will be held at Yalımpark in Lara.

The open-air program will feature the documentary Like a Gypsy (Roman Gibi) and the film Fragmented Years (Parçalı Yıllar).
