33rd International Culture and Art Festival Begins in Menteşe
The traditional festival in Muğla will host colorful concerts, exhibitions, and workshops for four days.
Organized jointly by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and the Menteşe Municipality, the 33rd Muğla International Culture and Art Festival begins with an opening ceremony on Friday evening, September 25, at the Menteşe City Square.
Opening and Festival Program
Organized in cooperation with the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and the Menteşe Municipality, the 33rd Muğla International Culture and Art Festival will kick off with an opening ceremony at 19.00 on Friday evening, September 25, at the Menteşe City Square and will last for four days. Throughout the events, concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, interviews, children's activities, and various workshops will be held in the city center.
Concerts and Nature Walk
Among the prominent events in the festival program is the concert by artist Gökçe, which will take place at Cumhuriyet Square on Sunday, September 27, at 20.30. A nature walk from Cumhuriyet Square to Karabağlar Plateau is also planned for the same day at 09.00.
Melon Festival and Exhibitions
As part of the traditional Melon Festival to be held at Narlı Kahve on the same day at 11.00, there will be a MUSANDER Painting Exhibition, local producer stalls, and a Hamdi Demirtaş concert. Various activities will be offered to participants prior to the excitement of the melon competition.
Kite Workshop and Invitation
Award-winning kite master Zahit Mungan is also featured in the festival's family and children's program. Mungan will meet with participants at the kite workshop to be held in the area behind the Menteşe Children's Science Park on Sunday, September 27. Menteşe Mayor Gonca Köksal Aras invited all citizens to the festival.
