400 children introduced to art in cultural project bringing Germany and Rojava together
With a cultural project led by academic Dr. Havin Sindi, a total of 400 children from Germany and Rojava came together in art activities.
Through a cultural project implemented by academic and artist Dr. Havin Sindi, living in Germany, 400 children from Germany and Rojava met on common ground through music, painting, and cultural interaction, while a permanent art school was opened in Rojava.
Common ground established through art
Academic and artist Dr. Havin Sindi brought hundreds of children in Germany and Rojava together on a common ground of art with the cultural project she implemented.
Thanks to the project, children from different nationalities got to know each other's worlds closely through music, painting, and cultural interaction.
Participation from Duisburg and Rojava
The work, which included 200 children living in the city of Duisburg in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and 200 children from Rojava, was successfully completed.
German children sang Kurdish songs
Thanks to the prepared cultural program, children from German and various other ethnic backgrounds were introduced to the region's history through pedagogical methods.
At the end of the work, a very valuable picture emerged where German children and children from other nationalities sang Kurdish songs in unison.
Botanical study and nature investigation
Alongside the artistic dimension of the project, field investigations were conducted on the region's flora by a research group consisting of biologists.
During the investigations, attention was drawn to environmental destruction and ecological change, addressing the interventions to which the soil and nature are subjected.
New art school in Rojava
Despite all logistical and field difficulties, the project was ensured to transform into a permanent work, and a special art school for children was opened in Rojava.
In the newly opened center, it is aimed for children to develop their talents by receiving training in branches such as painting, music, and handicrafts.
