Ankara Culture Road Festival hosted art lovers on its fourth day
On the fourth day of the festival, numerous events took place ranging from the Presidential Symphony Orchestra's Yeşilçam concert and the OPUS 503 Pop Opera performance to talks, workshops, and exhibitions.
The Ankara Culture Road Festival met with art lovers on its fourth day through the Presidential Symphony Orchestra's Yeşilçam film music concert, the OPUS 503 Pop Opera stage, talks, children's workshops, and various exhibitions.
Symphonic Yeşilçam Concert and Concerts
According to a statement by the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, the Presidential Symphony Orchestra performed a selection of Yeşilçam film scores at the CSO Ada Ankara Ziraat Bankası Main Hall. Unforgettable music of Turkish cinema was reinterpreted in the concert that combined electronic instruments with a symphony orchestra. Additionally, the Ankara Fine Arts High School Concert took place at the CSO Ada Ankara Historical Hall.
World Music with OPUS 503
Bringing different cultures together on the same stage, OPUS 503 Pop Opera performed diverse examples of world music with its "El Salvador, Land of Palms and Flowers" concert. Alongside pieces like Granada, Caruso, and Volare, the Turkish musical piece Üsküdar'a Gider İken was also shared with the audience.
Talk Programs
Talks held within the scope of the festival brought visitors together around different topics. While the history of the Yavuz battlecruiser was narrated through pieces in the collection, programs titled "Unlimited Conversations with Züleyha" and "Minds Between the Pages" were organized at the Ankara Painting and Sculpture Museum.
Art and Cinema for Children
Within the scope of the Art Envoys project, children aged 9-12 participated in museum education activities. Organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's General Directorate of Cinema, the 22nd TÜRSAK Children's Film Festival brought children together with cinema through free film screenings and workshops.
Workshops and Traditional Arts
During the Paleontology Education Event, children engaged in practical sand fossil-hunting activities, while the THK Gökçen Model Glider Building introduced children to aviation. Illumination, leather crafting, and felt workshops also introduced participants to the production techniques of traditional arts.
Exhibitions and Museum Routes
The "ASELSAN Advanced Evolving Future Vision" exhibition at CSO Ada Ankara displayed works of art produced from industrial waste. Across different museums in the capital, exhibitions themed around stamps, medals, natural history, and Ankara through the eyes of children welcomed visitors.
