Aram Tigran City Conservatory opens applications for the new term

The Aram Tigran City Conservatory, operating under the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, has launched applications for free courses for the new academic term, with classes to be held at the Çand Amed Culture and Congress Center.
Objective to Transfer Cultural Heritage
The Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to preserve, develop, and pass on the city's cultural and artistic heritage to new generations.
Operating under the Department of Culture, Art, and Social Affairs, the Aram Tigran City Conservatory will accept students for the new academic term.
Free Education in Six Departments
Accepting students with a limited quota, the Aram Tigran City Conservatory will include departments for cinema, theater, music, children's music, Kurdish language and literature, and govend (folk dance).
The educational programs aim to support participants' artistic production processes and transfer the city's cultural accumulation to new generations.
Details of the Children's Music Department
Children aged 7-12 will be able to benefit from the children's music department, and the language of instruction will be Kurdish.
In this department, children will receive music education for a period of 6 years, with the aim of uncovering their talents at an early age.
Application and Calendar Process
Applications for the new term will be held between September 1-20, 2026, via the DİSMEK website.
Student selection workshops will take place between September 21-27 at the Çand Amed Culture and Congress Center.
Results and Start of Classes
Following the evaluations to be made in the workshops, the results of the students eligible to receive education will be announced on October 5.
Classes for the new term at the Aram Tigran City Conservatory will start on October 12.
